Notary words

The Spanish Notary Public plays a fundamental role in many legal acts and transactions. In some cases, the law requires them to be formalised in a public deed, as is the case with the incorporation of companies. In others, the notarial deed acquires great importance due to the legal effects granted to it by law, based on the impartiality, legal training and status of the notary as a public official. The notarial deed is enforceable, constitutes full proof of the date and the act of its signing, and guarantees the identity and legal capacity of the persons who sign it, ensuring that it has been made freely and voluntarily. For all these reasons, it is a specially qualified document and can therefore be registered in the Commercial Register or in the Land Register, as appropriate.
